Sarakinikos Beach Milos
Photographer: George Kontos Sarakinikos beach will take your breath away!
This beach is made up of white limestone and the sea is a blue-green colour. You can spend your entire day just walking around the various rock formations and diving in the water for a swim. When the sea is calm in June and September the beach has the effect of your own private swimming pool and on windy days during summer the waves create lots of fun for keen swimmers and wave lovers.
Sarakinikos is easily accessible by car or motorbike and there is also a local bus from Milos town that stops there are couple of times a day.
Don’t forget to take water and a small snack with you because there is no cafeteria on this beach.
If you love swimming and beaches, Milos is definitely an island you should visit as is boasts over 33 different beaches that are all spectacular. |
