Provisioning prior to charter

Shopping advice for your trip

Why is provisioning prior to my charter important?

Food and drink provisioning is something that many of our guests tend to remember at the very last minute, however its one of the most important parts of your vacation.
The closest island from the marina can be anywhere between and 3 to 10 hour sail away, depending on which direction you are taking, therefore we advise that you take the stress out of your first couple of sailing days by stocking the boat with snack foods and drinks before you set sail.

What is Endless Blue’s recommendation for provisioning prior to my charter?

Our vessels are all located within walking distance from a local supermarket so once you arrive and settle in we advise that you make a short list of the items you may need for your first sailing days and purchase these groceries before you set sail. Items we suggest are drinking water, soft drinks, juices, alcohol, breakfast, sandwich fillings and light snacks.
Don’t worry about running out of food because all ports have a supermarket or minimarket to replenish your supplies.
Local produce such as meats, seafood and vegetables can be found at most islands so its best to buy those items along the way.
You will find that you wont be cooking too much on board because there are an abundance of traditional greek tavernas, snack bars and resturants all over the islands for you to dine at in the evening.

What is already stocked on the boat?

This depends on your charter arrangement. Some vessels are not stocked and others with breakfast only.

Can Endless Blue do our provisions shopping for us before we arrive?

Our guest services team provides a service called ‘First day at sea’ whereby we pre-purchase enough grocery items to take you through your first day until you are able to reach a port and stock the vessel yourselves. In addition to the ‘first day’ items we also purchase your heavy items such as drinks and alcohol.
We will have the items on board the boat ready for our arrival where you will be presented with itemised receipts for cash payment upon check-in.
The fee for this service is 10 Euros in addition to the shopping.
